Shanghai is two hours from Seoul, close enough that you can set both legs around your meetings. Scheduled options into China are often limited to a few times of day, which is where being able to fit the flight to the appointment matters most.

Airports and ground access

Shanghai has two airports. Hongqiao is close in on the west side and quick into the city; Pudong is out toward the eastern coast and takes longer. Hongqiao suits meetings in Puxi, Pudong suits anything in the new district.

Scheduling and aircraft

Two hours is comfortable for a light or midsize jet. Shanghai runs an hour behind Seoul, so a morning departure still leaves you the morning on arrival. Flights into China need lead time for permits and entry paperwork, so this is a route where earlier notice matters more than most.

Questions about this route

How far ahead do China flights need to be arranged?
Permits and entry formalities mean this route needs more lead time than other Asian sectors. The process moves faster once passenger details and dates are fixed, so let us know as soon as your schedule firms up and we will confirm the timeline.
Pudong or Hongqiao?
It depends where you are going. Hongqiao is quicker for the central districts and Puxi; Pudong makes more sense for the new district. Tell us where your meetings are and we will advise.
