Seoul to the Maldives is seven and a half hours, the longest Asian sector we operate. Almost every trip is built around a top-tier resort stay, and the itinerary only works if the onward transfer from Malé is planned alongside the flight.
Airports and ground access
Malé is the gateway; resorts are reached by seaplane or speedboat from there. Seaplanes generally operate in daylight only, so a late arrival into Malé can push your resort transfer to the next day. That connection is the single biggest constraint on arrival timing.
Scheduling and aircraft
A heavy jet for seven and a half hours. At four hours, the time difference is the largest on any of these routes, so keep the arrival day light. We normally work backwards — confirm the resort transfer window first, then set the departure time from there.
Questions about this route
- How do I get from Malé to the resort?
- By seaplane or speedboat, depending on the resort. Seaplane operating windows are limited, so tell us which resort you have booked and we will set the arrival time around that connection.
- Can I reach the resort the same day I land?
- It depends on when you land in Malé. Because transfers often run in daylight only, a late arrival can mean an overnight in Malé. Send us your dates and we will work back to a departure time that gets you in the same day.
