This is the leg into Seoul. Both ends carry formalities — departure on the Chinese side, entry on the Korean side — so what you actually feel is decided less by the two hours in the air than by how the ground is handled. Executive terminals compress that, and the cars in Seoul can be sequenced to the arrival rather than guessed at.

Airports and ground access

Departure is normally built around the business aviation facilities at Capital International, north-east of the city and short to reach; Daxing lies well to the south and pushes the whole departure earlier. The arrival is the real decision. Gimpo cuts a large amount of ground time for Gangnam and the centre, while Incheon carries fewer constraints for late slots and larger cabins.

Scheduling and aircraft

Light and midsize aircraft are the usual candidates over this distance. Seoul is an hour ahead of Beijing, so the local departure time lands an hour later than it reads before any flying is counted. A late-afternoon departure closes on the 11 p.m. limit at Gimpo, and where routing and weather margin will not fit inside that, the arrival is planned into Incheon, which runs around the clock.

Questions about this route

Which Beijing airport does the flight leave from?
Plans are normally built around the business aviation facilities at Capital International. It is close to the city, so the run to the aircraft is short; Daxing is far to the south and means leaving much earlier for the same departure slot.
Can a late departure from Beijing still land at Gimpo?
It comes down to whether the one-hour difference plus flying time still leaves margin before the limit. Where that margin is thin, planning into Incheon is the safer call.
